Oral Roberts University Institute of Design, Experience and Art (IDEA) invites applications for promotion-track Assistant Professor position in 3D Modeling and Digital Animation. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Ideal candidate will have experience with gaming, narrative storytelling and visual communication while demonstrating sensitivity to aesthetics, typography and design. Additionally, the candidate should have an awareness of and an enthusiasm for growing into the emergent field of XR (extended reality) design and development. Opportunities for interdisciplinary development with other academic units, including Worship, Theatre, Dance, Film and Computer Science.

DUTIES


ORU Faculty teach broadly in the curricula of their subjects, advise students, and serve on departmental and university-wide committees. The primary responsibilities of position will include the undergraduate level development and teaching of introductory and core courses in the discipline, and the development of courses in their area(s) of specialization, as well as be responsible for producing scholarship/creative work commensurate with the requirements for promotion. The successful candidate will teach critical thinking, problem solving, contemporary theory and emerging concepts in contemporary design practice.
